Not all prefixes and suffixes can occur on all types of items. The tables also list on which type of items you will find each prefix and suffix. The following abbreviations are used:

1Also affects the distance at which you activate monsters. A higher value means at a greater distance. There is no additional effect of wearing more than +50% or less than -80% light radius. As a curiosity, the light radius is always one square less in the catacombs and it is always the highest light radius you have had on a level that counts, even if you later lower it.
