STH'09 - completed!
Shade on 31.08.2009 um 22:45 (UTC) | | I’m proud to announce the magnificent winners of this unforgettable event. The 3'rd place goes to the German “Naughty Slumber Party”. These crazy guys made it to dungeon level 11 on nightmare difficulty. On the 2'nd place, we have my personal favourite team, the sympathic guys form Japan. They made it all the way to level 16 on nightmare difficulty, and reached a final score of 50,9677 points.
And the gold medal goes to the German “Legit Lords of Honor”. With making it to dungeon level 15 on nightmare, they reached a sensational final score of 61,3227 points. Well done guys!
I want to use this chance to thank all active participants for making this event to a very entertaining and successful happening. I think it’s not exaggerated if I say, that this was clearly one of the most high-grade IronMan tournaments in all Diablo history. If the trend goes on like this, I’m certain that we'll see at least a handful of hell continuations at the sequel event :-)

STH’09 - sensational neck-and-neck final
Shade on 24.08.2009 um 17:26 (UTC) | | Things are getting very exciting at the end of this memorable event. "Team Japan", as well as the German" LLH-Team", made it to a point where only a handful of other players have been before, in IronMan history. As far as I’m informed, both teams arrived in dungeon level 16 on nightmare difficulty, just a few hours ago! Thus they will face Diablo for the second time in the near future.
I wish both teams the best of luck for this dramatic encounter. Hopefully, we will see both of you continuing in hell difficulty. No matter who is going to win the tournament in the end, you can already be very satisfied with your performances. Kudos!

STH’09 - duration extended
Shade on 07.08.2009 um 12:56 (UTC) | | Since more than 50 % of all participating teams are still working on their first publication, we decided to extend the duration of the tournament until the end of August.
I believe that even the current top-seeded teams will be able to re-enact and ratify this step. It's certainly in nobody's interest, to win an incomplete tournament. It goes without saying, that this is a non recurring exception, so I recommend all affected teams to use the additional time in an appropriate way!

STH'09 - has begun!
Shade on 16.05.2009 um 09:24 (UTC) | | The “Stairway To Hell” tournament officially started yesterday! Currently there are 8 validated teams, out of 6 different nations, with over all 24 players on the line.
I recommend all participants to join the forum as soon as possible. Within there, all upcoming conversation will take place.
I hope that we'll all have lots of fun in the depths of Tristram’s dungeons. I for myself had a very amusing and partial chaotic start with my good old friends Duriel and Arkain. Besides, I have to thank Gillias, Duriel, Rudra and WeakSorcerer, for helping me with optimizing the rules of this extraordinary event.

CTA'09 - completed!
Shade on 26.04.2009 um 18:55 (UTC) | | Almost accurately 2 months after the start of this memorable event, the last duel was played. I have to thank ALL participants for the clean and honorable gaming experience we had! I think that a few closer acquaintanceships and maybe even some real friendships were build, due the happenings of the last weeks. Personally, I have to say, that I’m very satisfied with the overall procedure of this tournament. All the positive and exciting experiences we could share, will most certainly smooth the way for similar events in the future. Congratulations to the lucky winners of this event! Furthermore I have to thank my good friends Emelaldo and FireIceTalon. Without your commitment, your ideas and your support this whole event would never have been realizable! | | |
