Happy 15th Anniversary Diablo
Thomas on 30.11.2011 um 15:46 (UTC)
Today the Diablo series celebrates its 15th anniversary. On November 30th 1996, Blizzard North unleashed Diablo I on the world. Yes it has been that long!
A sequel and an expansion later we are now looking forward to the third game in one of the most popular game franchises ever created. Many congratulations to Blizzard, the current development team and also to all the developers from Blizzard North.

Call To Arms III - Preliminaries Completed
Thomas on 25.09.2011 um 21:47 (UTC)
The first phase of the current PVP tournament 'Call To Arms III' has come to an end today. The eight finalists are as follows: ' Chip(RUS), Dale(RUS), Duriel(GER), HasteYourFace(CAN), Nekony(GER), Shade(GER/US), Thomas(ENG), Xeen(GER)'. Huge congratulations guys! I'm postive we're going to see a magnificent final phase. May the best player take the win!

I sincerely wish to thank all players for their participation. I believe I don't exaggerate if I say , that this CTA truly was one of the best events of this kind so far. The new public recording regulation we've introduced was a complete success. This definitely will be a standard from now on!

It's about time to reveal the grand prize of this tournament. Actually, there are two very neat things which await our new champion. On the one hand, we provide a perfect 'Dragons Amulet of the zodiac' and additionally an exclusive serial for the official 'Diablo III beta'!

Call To Arms III - Deadline Disestablished
Thomas on 05.08.2011 um 17:54 (UTC)
We've decided to skip the current deadline regulations entirely, since the tournament proceeds way faster than expected. After roughly 3 weeks, about 60 % of the entire tournament schedule is already done, which is excellent!
Nevertheless, we still reserve us the right to disqualify fully inactive players.
The least amount of activity we expect to see, is one duel in 3 weeks. In case your time schedule isn't allowing this, please inform us!

Call To Arms III - Starts Today
Thomas on 15.07.2011 um 16:31 (UTC)
The day all PVP nuts desperately have waited for, finally has come.
I'm pleased to announce the official start of 'Call To Arms III'! Most of you certainly know, that it was scheduled to let the games begin tomorrow, but since I will not be at home for almost the entire weekend, I decided to publicize the groups one day sooner. The list of participants is, as far as I can see, the most high grade and international so far. This should be a proper indicator of what we are going to see over the next few weeks. I'm positive that this event will be the most entertaining and exciting one in all history. These high expectations are certainly also based on the public recording regulation, which we have introduce with this tournament. I personally can't wait to watch the first encounters on 'Youtube'. I wish all participants good luck and above all lots of fun.

On this occasion I would like to point out, that I have written a small 'HowTo' regarding how to upload video files on 'Youtube'. This should make the entire process much easier for all inexperienced participants. Check the 'Technical Support' forum.

Windows 7 (32/64) Color Bug - official fix released!
Shade on 28.06.2011 um 03:42 (UTC)
I've got very good news for everybody who is experiencing the infamous "rainbow-color problem", while running Diablo on Windows 7. Blizzard released an OFFICIAL fix for it. I just gave it a try and it works absolutely perfect. From this day on, it is not necessary anymore to terminate your "explorer.exe", 'cause this fix is a simple registry update.

It unfortunately works only for Diablo 1.09, older versions and mods still experience the rainbow-color bug. I assume however, that it should be easily possible to modify this registry fix for any kind of version or mod.

Check the official Blizzard-Tech-Support site for further information, and to access the download link. Additionally, I've taken the liberty to add this fix to our download section.

Call To Arms III - All Slots Taken
Thomas on 25.06.2011 um 14:30 (UTC)
As most of you probably have already noticed, the field of participants
'Call To Arms III' is complete. Just as in the previous tournaments, I plan to publicize the final group constellations on the starting date of the event. Which, to name it one more time, is the 16th of July.
At this point, we haven't made a full decision yet, concerning how to put the groups together. My personal opinion however is, that it should be the best compromise to proceed like in 'CTA II'. Constructed class allocations for every single group, plus randomly drawn players to fit these class slots. In doing so, we avoid full same class groups, which could occur in case we draw the entire starting field.

Be that as it may, I want to take this opportunity to urgently advise all participants, that it is in your own responsibility to ensure that you are able to record your encounters at all times. A victory will not be scored, in case the related set recordings is missing!
